Breaking ground on phase 2 rain garden and cistern project in Nature Leaders garden area. Stormwater Operations staff excavated the garden and assisted Portland Purple Water in the installation of a 2500 gallon cistern. Cistern collected rain water for school garden irrigation from 900 square feet of roof. Cistern overflows to rain garden, which overflows to existing onsite storm drain.
